An unfinished portrait from a series of photographs I took specifically in a quest to find just one that would give me the exact affect of my models, whom I knew well at the time. With good fortune the translation from photo to painting worked as I’d hoped. Don’t ask me why this remains unfinished; the story is long and fraught with my own questions which have remained unanswered.
