Foxy Lady

A friend of mine passed along a photo of her Aunt Molly, an imperious woman who loved to dress to the nines and hang out at the now-gone-to-condo Concord Resort in the Catskills, once a tony destination that offered entertainment, luxurious and gaudy accommodations, activities around the clock, and dancing with sumptuous meals.

My friend shudders at the mention of Molly’s name, and says the woman scared her so much that she could never buy this painting and be reminded. The days of cocktail dresses and bee hives may be long gone, but “Foxy Lady” lives on as a testament to the benefits of having an “attitude”.
